Description
The history of BrewBaker began back in 2005 - with a small, fine restaurant with its own brewery at Bellevue S-Bahn station. After a few intermediate stops, we set up shop with BGM Berliner Getränkeemanufaktur GmbH in Sickingenstrasse in Moabit from 2013 to May 2019. BGM and Brewbaker have been going separate ways since June 2019. With immediate effect, living beers UG will take over the marketing of Brewbaker. A new production facility is being planned.

bottle from Bierpost. Hazy golden yellow, tall white head, citrusy nose. Medium-bodied, malty base that delivers loads of citrusy hops. A resiny touch is also present. Very good German IPA.

Pale golden color with a fine white head. Herbal hoppy, mild citric and malty aroma. Medium body and a soft to average carbonation. Smooth easy drinkable beer with some herbal, citric and malty notes. Decent thirst quencher.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle ($5): This comes in a newer fancier bottle and it calls itself Braubacker now, for some reason (I can assure you that this is the same beer though). Anyway, it poured a slightly hazy yellow and had a white head. Aroma is sour malt and yeast. Taste is different than was expected. It is not so much sour as it is really, really yeasty. Tastes kind of like kvass or kimchi or something like that. Not great, but drinkable enough, and this one won’t get you drunk so teatotalers could totally drink it.

Many thanks to McTapps! The beer starts deep and dark. Viscous, hints of plums, slightly sourish. Very nice with a dry and malty body. Hints of burned bread, moderate bitterness, dark cherries. Intense, viscous. Coffee, Roasted dark chocolate but still a bit rough. Probably due to the quite dry body. Intense and long dark roasted chocolate aftertaste. Nice!
