Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice copper glow, but a beautiful ruby tint and a thinnish, just off-white head that fades to barely a centimetre after a few seconds. Aroma of deep cinnamon, malts, rich raisins and pitted fruits with some figs and grain, but a lot of alcohol warmth and burn and a pungent sweetness but more spices in the nose - very strong throughout. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong pungent cinnamon flavours dominate with a lot of pitted fruit sweetness and a rich maltiness that doesn't subside and a lot of deep alcohol and warmth, but the spiciness, especially the canella and allspice notes are very strong and overpowering. Aftertaste is deep, robust and very pungent from the spices to the malts and a strong alcohol bite that goes down slightly lower than the 13 per cent, but not much lower. Overall, a very strong robust, and of course, super spicey (not hot, but deep) beer that has a lot of malts and more alcohol than should be here, but at least, with a smaller format and with it drinking as slightly less than thirteen per cent, a decent option once it's got some age to it, but this is still strong throughout from the spices to the alcohol and malts, regardless. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 28-December-2017 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on one of the coldest days here of the season, so far, on 23-January-2021.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying tan and light brown head. Aroma of canella, chocolate, deep malts, molasses, pitted fruits, figs, earth, grain and a dash of alcohol with some spice notes and a super deep yeast and bready bite, but the complexity in the nose is strong. Full-bodied; Super rich malts with molasses, syrup, treacle, raisins, figs, earth and a lot of rustic nuttiness showing some chocolate and grain and pungent astringencies along with a deep sweet finish that has some vanilla and a lot of anise, licorice and allspice near the very end, but deep throughout. Aftertaste shows the deep and robust spice notes with a ton of sweetness at the end, but the complexities from the caramlised sugars, raisins, toffee, earth and treacle that somehow merges these very well and has a great complexity, but shows the alcohol, which makes sense, given it's high ABV. Overall, a very nice and rich quadruple with a good yeast and bready kick that shows some yeast complexities and dryness, but a smooth Belgian characteristic that couples well with the pungent and plentiful spices and sweetness. Great to sample and I believe the 3+ years since purchase has done very well, and while I'm curious on what another three would do to this, I only have the one and now seems to be a great time to drink this, and while it still shows some astringency and alcohol, it isn't overpowering or offputting. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Corner Store, Bait & Tackle in West Palm Beach, Florida on 26-December-2017 for US$5,59, which was packaged on 02-June-2017, after arriving at the airport after President Trump was celebrating his first Christmas in office with the jet there, sampled at my house here in Washington near the White House where President Biden was just inaugurated on 22-January-2021.

From a bomber of an old but unknown vintage. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of bitter roast. Flavors are sweet raisins and bitter cocoa

Yeeted the yeast in, oh well. Cloudy (eh), light amber color. Aroma has some yeast, fruity banana. Sweet, yeasty, fruity, fairly strong. Banana and maybe some apricot. Very nice in any case.

12 oz bottle, poured clear orange amber with minuscule and brief head. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee aroma, with some booziness. Full bodied. Sweet chocolate and roasted malt up front, then coffee, with lingering alcohol finish.

12 oz bottle, poured opaque dark copper with no head. Full bodied, low carbonation. Cinnamon apple and booze aroma. Bourbon and cinnamon dominate the taste, with the finish sweet and boozy.

Bottle. Clear, dark golden to red-amber body with almost no head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, raisons and warming alcohol. Taste is quite sweet with malt, dry fruit and quite much alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice sipper, but a bit boozy after a while.

Süffiger, gewürzig hellmalziger Beginn. Viel Kürbis, geringe Karbonisierung, die Gewürzigkeit nimmt schnell ab und ist im Abgang kaum noch vorhanden. Rund, süffig. 9/9/9/9/10/9
