Description
Weyerbacher Brewing was founded in 1995 in a livery stable located in downtown Easton, Pennsylvania. Eventually outgrowing that small space, we made the move to the 30,000 square foot facility that we still call home today.
Since the beginning, we have established a reputation for making big, full-flavored, high quality brews. While predominantly known for Belgian-style brews including Merry Monks and QUAD, we have an extensive barrel aging program which produces fan favorites including Insanity and Riserva. In recent years, we’ve dipped our toes into IPAs and other lower ABV styles with great success.
Experimenting with different ingredients and brewing techniques, our brewers continue to stretch their creative minds and develop interesting and mind blowing beers that will satisfy your taste for the extraordinary.

Big, boozy, bourbon-fueled beast. Label has it clocking in at 13.3%, so the insanity has gotten stronger. Caramel apple, cocoa, brandied fruit, pine, oak, and oh so much bourbon. Still, the texture is surprisingly light for such a monster, making it way too easy to drink. Whiskey does a blithering idiot good.

Pours a deep reddish bronze with a relatively thick creme head. Aroma of vegetable mash, some caramel, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Taste has serious, genuine pumpkin notes, burnt caramel, some rich cloves notes, notes similar to that of a very dark, grainy bread. Vaguely vegetable-like on the palate, mild hints of the elevated ABV. Very good.

Bottle from an online shop. Clear gold, small head. Sweet nose, Amontillado Sherry and spicy hops. Sweet, decently rounded, medium complexity on the tongue, raisins and herbs. It's missing the Belgian yeast bomb of top complexity, though. Pretty nice and enough hops to (almost) balance the sweetness.

Rust color with pumpkin pie aroma. Taste is rich, woody, alcohol with plenty of pumpkin pie spices. Earthy pumpkin vegetable finish. Excellent.
