Description
Weyerbacher Brewing was founded in 1995 in a livery stable located in downtown Easton, Pennsylvania. Eventually outgrowing that small space, we made the move to the 30,000 square foot facility that we still call home today.
Since the beginning, we have established a reputation for making big, full-flavored, high quality brews. While predominantly known for Belgian-style brews including Merry Monks and QUAD, we have an extensive barrel aging program which produces fan favorites including Insanity and Riserva. In recent years, we’ve dipped our toes into IPAs and other lower ABV styles with great success.
Experimenting with different ingredients and brewing techniques, our brewers continue to stretch their creative minds and develop interesting and mind blowing beers that will satisfy your taste for the extraordinary.

2005 vintage from trade. I traded for a bunch of Weyerbachers long time ago, and this is the first one I've opened in a long time. It's to make up for being required to spend time with my family instead of going to FoBAB 2019. The 2005 label only mentions oak barrel aging, but right under the cap is a big snootful of bourbon and vanillin. Plenty of carbonation in this one. In fact the tan foam stays pretty stiff until my lips touch it. Solid black beer color beneath it. After 14 years, the taste is still quite nice. Plenty of roasty malt, a bit of cherry cola taste, backed by coffee and molasses. Yes, there's still some sweetness to it, but the malt tells it to keep its mouth shut. Nothing here has gone off. Just a fine imperial stout that's picked up a good load of bourbon barrel taste and has not let go over all this time.

Bottle shared by Eric @ Warpigs. Thanks buddy. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma and taste is full of rich coffee, chocolate, caramel, subtle bourbon, vanilla, fudgey notes, malty, dark fruits. KBS killer for sure.

$3.59 bottle, TWSP. Pours black, thick, small dark brown head. Licorice, dark chocolate, booze, brownie, cola nose. Flavor is dark chocolate, booze, bubblegum, light coffee bean, char/ash. Not the best, but far from the worst.

Can from Pasqually's: pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is lots of limey. Taste is alcohol, loads of lime, some sweetness. Pretty harsh.

Can, thanks to mansquito. Pours gold orange. Lime, huge lime, cereal, sweetcorn, booze, odd synthetic fruit finish, really sweet. Medium body. Not good.

Red berries and grapefruit in the aroma. A strong flowery hoppiness with just a bit of red berries. Likeable, but not well balanced.

LCRBM2: Coffee with too much sugar in the aroma. Very sweet flavor with roast and some coffee. Brown sugar. Not my favorite, just too sweet and onedimensional.

Bottle @ DTS. Reddish amber color. Toffee and marzipan in the aroma. Alcoholic, perfumed flavor with marzipan and a hint of cherry. Disappointing.
