Pours a dark amber-copper colour with a beige cap that is big, lasting a while and with good lacing. Funky aromas of the Brett yeast with some roasted barley, giving caramel notes. Earthy with some sourness, even in the taste. The roasted malt lingers with light tart. The dark aspect of this brew adds nicely to the Brett funk.

Bottle, thanks to Yourilevesque. Pours hazy bright yellow with large foamy off-white head, floral hops aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter orange peel taste, smooth body, long floral hoppy finish. A very good IPA.

Bottle: Poured a nice golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light funky ester with some vinous notes and oak is enticing. Taste is a nice mix of oak and tart notes with some vinous notes and some light Chardonnay notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable but lacking some of the dry Chardonnay notes I was expecting.

Bottle - Flowery and red berries. Deep reddish brown with a decent off white head. Bright soured cherry and a nice sweetness and a touch of acidity. Quite nice.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy bright golden color with persistent compact head. The aroma is dominated by the Brett, it’s very funky and spicy, some smell of old and moldy wood. The mouthfeel is very smooth; the malt is in the background, but it shows nice crisp qualities; unfortunately there is a woody and vegetable note that is too strong, and breaks the harmony; the final is bitter, with bitter orange peel, citrus oils, a bit pithy.
A good beer, but edgy, rough; I expected more; maybe the Brett has worked too much in the bottle.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy dirty pink color ale with a small foamy head with OK retention and no lacing. Aroma of hibiscus and light berry/cherry notes si pleasant enough. Taste is a mix of tart notes with light funky ester with some hibiscus and berry/cherry notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration and OK carbonation. Not bad but lacking some cohesion and attenuation.
