Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Inky, black, impressive pour with a minimal espresso ring of a head, but coats the glass quite well. Aroma of cedar...strong cedar cigar box, smoke, chocolate and dust. Taste is cigar box, dark bitter chocolate and deep strong espresso over the course of the long finish. Long duration. Thick, viscous and mouthcoating. Unique and impressive. I really do like the Marshal Imperial Stout line better than the 110k+OT #2 series of beers.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Above and beyond. Pours black with a really dark tan head. Aroma is celery. Go figure. More than full bodied. Mild carbonation. Flavor is very dark burnt malt, coffee, light chocolate. Finishes less than dry, but very, very delicious. Smooth.

Pours black with brown head. Burnt malt aroma with lots of chocolate. Flavors of roasted malt, sweet toffee, coffee and chocolate. Full body with soft carbonation and a thick creamy mouthfeel. Excellent.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Like I can’t thank you enough. I love beer and I love guava. So: Pours peach with a hugely frothy white head. Aroma is sort of funky peach. Medium body with frothy carbonation. It’s funky. It’s fruity. Is it guava? Could be. Finishes very mildly sour and funky. Saison it is. Very so. Delicious. Underrated. Very.

750 ml bottle from Suttree. Pour is dark burgundy, clear ruby and a firm, pretty three inch tan head. Thick chewy lacing left behind as the beer falls. This is a really nice looking beer. Aroma of earthy, grainy natural maltiness - just a hint of charred roastiness behind. After the beer opens, there is some vegetal green pepper that comes out, detracting a bit. Taste is the nose, earthy and malty, green pepper behind that, and finishing with the lingering charred roastiness. Nice transition of flavors, though not a ton of integration. Palate is medium, perhaps on the lighter side of Scotch Ale. Just a hint of alcohol, which made this a nice warmer. This was a good one. Thanks for sending this my way Phil.

bottle, thanks to Daknole, pours carmel with a medium frothy off white head. Aroma is soft with grapefruit and citrus hop, some apple cider. Flavor is nice and dry with toasted malt, very bready with nutty character ending moderately bitter with nice pear and apple finish.

Growler pour courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours deep dark sludge with lasting mocha head. Good looking brew. The aroma has chocolate, some roastiness, a touch of oak followed by fudge brownie. The taste is roasty malts running to roastier and then burnt malts. Those notes blend into rich chocolate and mild oak. By midway oak, roasty malts, black strap molasses, chocolate and a mild amount of what tastes like dark fruitiness takes this to the finish. Lingering into the after taste are thin layers of chocolate and highly roasted malts. Very little port influence from what I could tell.

Growler pour courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours deep amber with tan head. The aroma is full with sweet nuttiness, a touch of chocolate and building notes of a cedar like twang. The taste begins with the classic Bolita creamy near velvety mouthfeel ushering in nutty and roasty malts. Like the nose the cedar joins in midway to go along with fading nuttiness and persistent roasty malts. Yum. The modest cedar notes really add to the experience.

Growler pour courtesy of markwise. Pours hazy brown-gold with modest opacity and white head. The aroma is full and quite yummy with guava tropical fruitiness, some modest smooth pepper notes, newly ripe cherry fruit must, raisins and spices like cinnamon. Wow. Cool flavor. The taste begins with a mild pulse of guava fruit and malt sweetness followed by wavy undulating tall earthiness. Those notes get accompanied by berry fruitiness, grainy malts and assorted spices. I love the nearly bright near ripe red berriness mixing with gludgy wet earthiness. Very cool, very different, very refreshing and very good.
