Description

11/VII/2012 - 75cl bottle from De Bierloods / Zytholoog (Adegem) @ home - BB: IX/2011 (2012-713)

Clear ruby red beer, big creamy pink head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: candy, citric acidity, bit yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: chloride start, lots of citric acidity, some cherry candy, little bitter. Aftertaste: sourish, sweet candy, artificial cherry flavour, but sugary. Not the worst sweet kriek I ever had! Would not buy it again, but it someone offered me a glass, I wouldn't refuse it.

Huge yellow, dense head, persistent over veiled ochre-orange beer. Very herbal/grassy hops, citrus; fresh-smelling, green leafy hergs. Again very aromatic, herbal hopse on dray straw. Gradually, a sharp herbal flavour becomes a bit oppressive, bit "raw", arachide-nutty - fatty acids? Spritzy, light to medium bodied, certainly for a 7.5% Tripel... Yet another beer that misses conditioning, IMO.

75 cl. bottle (we got 3 tasting glasses from it) @ Delirium Hoppy Loft // thx to Sebletitje’s friend, in transit thx to him // shared with Sebletitje & ajax25g // clear golden with a little white head // smell is touch light, kiwi, cat piss hops & white grapes but overall despite the fruitiness not as in your face fruity hoppy as I would prefer // taste is yeast heavy, bitter floral, faint barnyard, touch white grapes & kiwi in finish, fruitier than usual pale malts in here, touch grains // light (in an easy going & good way) body // not bad, albeit not essential

75cl bottle courtesy of Julien @ Hoppy Loft, shared with 77ship and ajax25g.
