Description
With a foundation in homebrewing in 1992, Paul Kavulak set about to experiment within a hobby that would prove both entertaining and, at times, refreshing. Over a period of roughly 13 years, and with the able assistance of his wife Kim, this activity led to the opening of the Nebraska Brewing Company’s brewpub in Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska, on November 17, 2007. A new production brewery and taproom were opened in January of 2014. Located on the south side of the Omaha Metro, but still a large part of the Omaha Craft Beer scene.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden / blond with a medium white head. Aroma of biscuits, white wine, brett, and oak. Flavour begins with lychee-like light fruits, transitioning to the chardonnay white wine, and then some yeast notes on the finish. The ABV is well-concealed at first, though burns at the end the more you drink. Not my idea of the best white wine incorporated BA beer. Quite thin, boozy and very carbonated. Still, solid stuff.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours black with a significant tan had. Aromas of chocolate, bourbon and alcohol. And oak. Full bodied. Flavor is vanilla chocolate with astringent oak. Finish is drier than not with chocolate, bourbon and head. But the heat is not obnoxious. It’s a very good drink.
