Your typical hefeweizen. It smells alright - wheaty and yeasty. Medium carbonation with a cloudy blonde colour. Has average character, average palate. It’s decent for the style though - they do a pretty good job. Has a little banana as well. On tap at brewpub.

Pours very black with a reddish cream head. A little lacing that doesn’t last. Smells a little pungent, a little skunky in a good way. Tastes nutty bitter. Medium carbonation. Decent. On tap at brewpub

Nitro tap at L'Amre Boire, pours black with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma of subtle roasted malts and some toasted nuts - no coffee or chocolate qualities. Flavour of smoothly roasted malts, which are very subtle, bittersweet chocolate and not much else. Medium-bodied and smooth-as-hell mouthfeel from the nitro pour. Very good, but missing a bit of oomph / flavour.

On tap at L'Amre Boire, pours a very deep dark amber / brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, some amaretto-like liqueur, and some toasted almonds. Flavour of almond liqueur and toasted nuts - little porter qualities. Light and watery, even for a porter. OK.

On tap at L'Amre Boire, pours a dark, dark amber brown with a small tan head. Nose is like a porter, mild roast and mild espresso beans. Flavour of toasted malts, toasted nuts, very mild chocolate notes and light bready malts. Certainly more like a porter than a dunkel. Very smooth and restrained, but well-flavoured. Very solid.

On tap at L'Amre Boire, pours a clear orange amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is lightly fruity (berries and green apples), a bit of perfume and earthy dry hops. Flavour is very earthy and dry, with dry toasted bread, zero sweetness or fruitiness as detected in the nose. Soft mouthfeel, with a lingering dry breadiness that is almost a bit metallic. Decent pale ale. The bartender mentioned that this wasn't the best batch of the pale ale, which is reportedly more hoppy and slightly fruitier. Would be happy to revisit it on a subsequent visit.

On tap at L'Amre Boire, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is full of banana and clove, with mild citrus notes. Flavour is likewise full of banana and clove with a lot more of the citrus dominating the end of the palate, lingering quite a while; slight bready quality on the finish as well. Very solid hef.
