Since 1926, brewing has no longer been a matter of chance at Bénifontaine, but rather is an art which has been passed down from generation to generation. From microbrewery to family business, Castelain Brewery has had a loyal following thanks to its artisanal beers and its respect for tradition. Thoroughness, patience, authenticity: these have been the key words for Castelain bières de garde and seasonal beers since the creation of the brewery.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light spice aroma. Light caramel and sweet malt flavor with light fruitiness. Medium bodied. Light caramel and sweet malt linger with light fruitiness.

Can 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque yellow with a lacing, white head. Quite a yeasty nose, citrusy and some cardboard. Medium body, a dry fruitiness and a slight tartness. Dry finish with a subdued bitterness. 060924

Can 50 cl. Pours an opaque, deep red with a creamy and lacing, pink head. Distinct Amarena cherry aroma - totally artificial and quite enjoyable. Rich, sweet body, distinct Amarena cherry notes, with a slight underlying bitterness. Has very little to do with beer, but as a flavored cherry drink it’s quite enjoyable. 010924

In de tuin uit een halve liter blik. Heel licht troebel, bleek gele kleur, wit schuim, snel verdwijnend. Geur licht moutig. Frisse smaak, vleug citroen. Hoge doordrinkbaarheid.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Sweet, notes of citrus, malts, some alcohol. A bit too sweet but not too bad.

6,8% ABV. Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.
