BIG THANKS to David S! 375 ml. bottle sampled @ MEUG 2018. Dark tripel with banana, raisin & chestnuts added if Google Translate is working properly aged on Cachaça barrels. 2015 Vintage & bit too old, going bit thin but fair. Dark brown, little head. Nose is esters, sweet oak, cane sugar, plantain, sweet oak, thin bodied likely due to age. Also bit thin in taste finish works well, reminds me of a cookie, gingerbread, vanilla, plantain, sugar, cinnamon, cane sugar, finish is big sweet barrel, Cachaça I assume. Happy to have tried, fresh this must have been quite intriguing.

Sampled at a Goose Island brewery office bottle share. Dark color with kind of a neutral malty nose. The taste is full of malt too, plus a bit of fruitiness. This has survived the trip to this town pretty well for an import.

375ml bottle courtesy of Elard. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses, sweet red berry fruit, light hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a crisp, roasty, sweet fruit, dry, warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

From a 375 ml bottle it is a shoe polishbrown with a slight head. The aroma is sweet with hints of raisins and the taste starts out nondescript on the sweet side and becomes string on the flavored of toffee and raisins with hints of dark fruits powerful finish very interesting
