Kees #400: 0.33 l can from the brewery's web shop, best before October 2030. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little fruity aroma of chocolate, caramel, toasted hazelnut, vanilla, some whisky and traces of dark fruits. Heavily sweet, malty, quite roasty-bitter, slightly smoky-medicinal and a little fruity taste of chocolate, coffee, caramel, licorice, roasted hazelnut, vanilla, whisky, some smoke and traces of dark fruits, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, a bit boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Delicious brew, fairly complex and intense, super thick as well. Really good variant!

Bottle at home, shared by Joen. Opaque black color medium sized brown colored head. Aroma is chocolate and (Dutch) "hopjesvla". Hmm not very promising tbh. Flavor is... thank got, not awful. Malts, sweetness, caramel, fudge, vanilla. Thick syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Heavy but good and the 20% is definitely well hidden so a dangerous beer!

Can. A light haze on this orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Fairly light bodied pale malts, a mild creamy sweetness. Bright piney hop intro. Good juicy Centennial, slightly lemon tinged orangey citrus. Touch of marmalade. Sabro used sparingly but still comes through with soft coconut. A mild nip of hop spice on the light finish. Kinda West Coast then, but I like the way this one works with Centennial and Sabro.

Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little yeasty aroma of caramel, raisins, figs and hints of marzipan. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, licorice, raisins, figs, marzipan and a touch of overripe banana, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really decent ale, not very quad-like though. I mean, Kees and his quads...

Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a little roasty taste of cocoa, caramel, roasted nuts and traces of wet leaves, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Bock, well-brewed for sure, still a bit bland.

Cloudy deep brown with a small ivory-coloured head. Toast, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, whisky, almonds. Light to medium sweet. Low to light bitterness. Dense & solid. Good.
