Vintage 2022, Foeder 157. Sample from bottle at Remko's bierproefavond. Didn't take notes, just enjoyed the beers and good company. Very nice.

Bottle at HopDog, best before Feb 27. Murky deep brown, reddish. Tart, wood, cherry funky. Full, front heavy, but then long. Chalky dry oak, but not in a bad way. Fruity, tangy. I like this.

(Bottle) Brownish dark red colour with brief foamy head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of oak wood, dried apricots, butterscotch, malt vinegar, brown sugar and honey. Malty, fruity, tart taste with oak wood, dried fruit, apricots, nuts, vinegar, figs, butterscotch, sour cherries and dark bread. No bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty, well balanced and harmonious. Seems the acidity has softened a bit over the years. Very nice.

Color rojizo, espuma rosácea, cremosa y bien conservada. Aroma a cerezas y frutos rojos, dejando escapar ciertas notas funky. El sabor a cerezas es bastante natural, mantiene esas notas funky y algo agrestes en boca. No está nada mal.

Bonito y velado color ámbar cobrizo bajo cremosa espuma beige claro. Aroma con tonos funky, hierba, frutos rojos. Ligeramente agria en boca, seca, algo vinosa, bebestible, agradable.

MHD is 2008 so I'm only guessing at the vintage. This is lovely. There's a hint of oxidation but, still, I prefer it to newer bottles. Complex beauty.

Tap at Hopdog. Light hazy dark cherry, offwhite head. Fairly artificial cherry aroma and flavor, sugary base, cheap cherry marmalade, sticky. Would it hurt to add a bit of acidity and balance to it?
We even tried to drink it along a very good Dunkles, but it is not good as a fruit sirup ersatz either.
