Cask at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours clear gold with a slight, filmy white head. Ripe citrus nose, orange, melon, hints of dry straw. Light to medium sweet flavor with sugary citrus fruits, a bit of orange rind bitterness, straight orange, tangerine, mango and melon, faint dry minerals and hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Perhaps sits a bit heavy for the ABV. Sweet citrus fruit finish, slight marmalade, more orange, light citrus peel. Very nice overall.

Bottle at the Cock Tavern. It pours cloudy amber with a medium white head. The nose is earth, dough, spice, light fruitiness, apple, pear and melon. The taste is spice, dough, earth, hay, soft fruitiness, apple, white grape, pear and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and rather drinkable. Good stuff.

Cask at the Cock Tavern. It pours cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is earth, orange squash, pithy tangerine, juicy, piss and a touch of petrol. The taste is smooth, orange, tangerine, earth, straw, minerals, light spice and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth, fruity and very drinkable stuff.

Cask at the Cock Tavern. It pours deep mahogany brown with a small white head. The nose is earth, dirt, wood, pine needles and a touch of dark fruit. The taste is wood, leather, twiggy, dry cocoa and some decent bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. A fairly standard mild by all accounts.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Hazy cloudy browny gold with a very thin white head. Piney resiny hop aroma. Syrupy grapefruit big hop aroma. A little earthy in the mouth. More grapefruit. Finish has more fruit and some bitterness. A solid IPA. Quite likeable and very PNW in its influence. Some soft peach and orange flavour towards the finish. Reasonably spritzy. Decent condition. Yes, decent. Bit earthy and the mouthfeel isn’t quite there. But likeable enough.

Bottle. Very hazy amber beer, decent white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Big hops! Pineapple and gooseberry, good skunk. Bitter pine and grass. Light tropical fruits. Finishes dry with a touch of hop spice and a fairly long bitter linger. Could be cleaner and sharper, don’t think the bottle conditioning is top notch but a great beer nontheless.

Cask at the Brewpub. Almost clear gold beer, residual white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild carbonation. Juicy hops - mellow grapefruit, apples (in a good way), mild orange marmalade and a little floralness. Finishes semi dry with mellow bitterness. Less shouty than some of the US hopped beers but decent.

At the brewpub. Keg. 5.4% As ’Rye Wit IPA’. Citra/Nelson Sauvin/Columbus. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and slightly soft with good fine carbonation. Fresh grapefruit, not too bitter. Little bretty minerals and light tropical fruits. Finishes light and crispy with a mellow grapefruit aftertaste. A delightfully light and fruity beer. Effortlessly drinkable.
