[Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of berries, while the flavor has strong notes of nuts and some notes of cowberries as well as caramel, on a sweet malty background, leading to a dry slightly bitter end.

Cask handpull at Bridge House, Southwark. Deep gold, with thin white head. Eggy yeasty nose with caramel/toffee. Fullish in mouth, with bitter finish. Some candied orange, but compared with broadside, not that good

Cask Conditioned
Copper color. Light aroma, disappears quickly. Medium structure, strong herbal hop taste, hop resins. The bitterness develops more at the end, hoppy, peculiar. Refreshing and good.

Bottle: Amber coloured, thin, steady, fluffy head, a bit lacing; herbal, hoppy nose, a tinge of "medicine" with distinctive fruity overtones (plums); quite dry fruity-bitter taste; distinctive herbal-hoppy finish; quite light bodied and low carbonated. A pleasant example.

Bottle from Adnams Brewery shop. Dark brown/red beer. Excellent aromas of rich dark fruits and some chocolate and coffee with roasted raisins. Full in mouth and slightly sweeter than the cask version (maybe due to the higher alcohol) but still an excellent strong bitter
