Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light dry. Modest carbonation. Thin malt bas. Nice Citra hops - fresh floral orange with a touch of peel bitterness. A very light pineapple streak runs throughout. Light dry finish. Tasty and drinkable if a tad dry.

Cask at Maidenhead beer festival 2014. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, coffee, bitter. Very good stout which went down far too easily.

Cask @ Sheffield Tap. Pours hazy gold, light citrus aroma. Unfortunately its initial light floral citrus character is ruined by a stale water / wet cardboard taint that makes it hard to finish. Shame.

Cask @ Sheffield Tap. Pours black. Smooth coffee and roasted malt flavours with a creamy head massaging the moustache hairs. Quite a nice stout with a good bitter coffee finish.

Hazy amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Sweetish blueberry, strong and slightly artificial tasting, floral as well. Medium spices. Some malt sweetness underneath. Light dry finish. It’s okay but has a vaguely manufactured feel about it.

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Hazy, dark gold. Minimal white head. First time I’ve heard of this hop, let alone tried it. Fusty orange. Orange pith. Sweet, lightly spicy malt. Taste is fusty sweet. Light, spicy dryness. Citra bitterness in there. Palate is a bit dull and a little lifeless. Minimal carbonation. Not the best platform to show off a big IPA. One of those beers that obviously has big potential, and needs another pop at.

Hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Light palate. Unsweet caramel malt, slightly tangy. Light skunky hop, mild marmalade. Some saltiness, in fact this is wandering in to barleywine territory. It’s a bit salty and caramel to be much of an IPA.

keg at CASC, ABZ, 20/06/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering that dissipates some then retains. Nose is tangy citrics, spicey vibes, bitter orange, mandarin, tarte fruit wash, straw. Taste comprises yeast esters, candied orange peel, light spice, damp hay, tarte mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent saison.
