Celebrando los 47'43 de Abril. Quizá debería haber elegido algo más 'ligero', el calor de mediados de Julio me pide trago largo y refrescante, pero la ocasión era lo suficientemente significativa como para echar la casa por la ventana con un peso pesado.
Luce un bonito color castaño oscuro, con algun que otro reflejo ligeramente más claro, naturalmente opaca, ya al servirla me he esmerado en escanciarla en cascada, procurando así obtener una espuma lo más copiosa posible, definitivamente esa espuma ni ha sido abundante ni ha durado mucho, pero el poco tiempo que ha estado ahi me ha alegrado la vista, beige, fina, espesa... En nariz, lleva ya un rato servida, pero yo diría que aun sigue evolucionando, fruta pasificada, ciruelas pasas, higos secos, caramelo, azúcar quemado, licor...un licor que hace de hilo conductor de sensaciones, tanto olfativas como gustativas. Y de fondo cierto toque agrio. En boca muy sedosa, carbonatación muy ligera, oleosa, cálida, profunda, compleja sin llegar a abrumar, ciertamente posee un trago que si bien es complejo no es excesivamente agresivo, permite la reflexión en calma de sus virtudes sin atosigar el paladar al segundo o tercer sorbo.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 17.07.2024/bbe 17.07.2029) im 2025-06 getrunken. Eine echt spannende Interpretation eine sehr klassischen Bierstil. Der Roggeneinfluß und der Einfluss von Ostfladern wo Struise braut, bringt eine feine Frucht und ist das eine Robustasäure ins Glas. Auf hohe 10% hätte ich blind nie getippt. Ein tolles Bier!

Aus der Flasche (bottled 13.06.2024/bbe 13.06.2034) im 2025-06 getrunken. Bei diesem rote Ale mit kräftigen Kirsch-Aromen und auch Säure zeigt sich auch die lange Reifung im Rotweinfass. Sehr klassisch und lecker!

I have been down to Struisse brewery and brewed with Urbaine and sampled the original dark horse and lowed it. This new bottle don't have the same complexity as the original bottle that had a magic brett caracter and well balanced lactic acidity.
This beer have a huge acidity but no brett caracter.

Old rating - A 330ml bottle picked up from the brewery in 2015 & cellared since then. Simply outstanding in every aspect especially as I really like Rye beers.
