The difference between most imperial stalts and imperial milk stouts? The name. 90% of the stouts alter taste like this clone. Mainly strong and sweet and dark. A few other things going on and that's it. Boring AF. It's not bad as a beer on its own but man this is getting old.

16 oz can from the 76 Food Mart in Bakersfield. Another gas station find. Nose is big time pecans, maple, brown sugar, and a hint of roasty smokiness. Lightly rusty brown with a medium, lightly lacing, tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet pecan pie. Really nice!

Can (9/28/20) pour from Lazy Dog Beer Shoppe. Appearance is dark, dark brown-mahogany (virtually opaque) with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, 2-finger light brown rocky foam head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong, mellow roasted malt, milk chocolate, vanilla, lactose, marshmallow and graham cracker. Taste is stronger roasted malt (almost burnt), vanilla, lactose, milk chocolate, marshmallow, mild graham cracker. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy-cream texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with moderate lingering dry bitterness. Overall, many of these S'more wanna-be stouts deliver a few of the described flavors but this one delivers them all. Perhaps a little thin in the mouthfeel, especially given it has the milk sugar but not many faults otherwise.

0.66 l bottle, past its date at least for 3 years. Pours unclear dark golden with a small creamy head. Candy sugar, herbal notes, cough syrup, some orange peel, clove, belgian yeast, vanilla, butterscotch, butter cookies. Malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty boozy finish. Surprisingly good, well balanced and very complex. Has aged very well!

650ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty as well as slightly caramel malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa. Taste is dry, roasty, chocolately dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, dry cocoa, subtle sweet-ish hints of caramel, milk chocolate, mocha, bitter hoppy counterpart. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Rather simple, a tad monotonous, but quite intense - OK.

Pretty thin-bodied, faint aftertastes of marshmallow. Not bad, but not an awful lot going on.

Bottle at home random new brewery grab but glad I did nice tart old fashion sour. Nose is fruity rhubarb and acidic lemons. Tastes of nice rhubarb, blueberry, lemon, wheat, grassy faint strawberry. Puckering for sure. Some vinegar.
