On tap at Porter. Pours a near clear orange gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a nice combination of light citrus, dry pine and a hint of merlot and gin. Flavor does a great job of playing the gin with the citrus note and is backed by a nice dry wine note.

Tap. Pours opaque brown to black with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma is light with notes of coffee, chocolate and sweet tarts. On Tap at The Lion’s Pride. Comes to the table a slightly hazy deep golden color with a decent sized bone white head that shows decent retention and lace. Smells of lemon, cherry and fruity funk, bready and earthy. The flavor is funky and tart with cherries and lemons against some sweet and bready malt with a bit of an earthy horsey flavor. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a tart funky mouthfeel. Decent beer and it kind of works, but a lot funkier than I was expecting, or than maybe the brewer was expecting?
