Deep copper-maize, good clarity with a beige head atop that is small, fully dissipating.
Pretty wacky nose with caramel, lush red berries adding tons of fruitiness and moderate acidity. Seems quite malty with honey/caramel and a light buttercream-like quality. Not boozy which is impressive. But maybe a bit foreceful in that all the fruitiness and sweetness seems to mask the potential nuances.
Similar in the flavor with some drying alcohol on the end. Tons of red fruits, buttercream, caramel, honey and still a reasonable attenuation. Hints of smoke dot the palate, and are enjoyable. Fine. Admittedly did not know anything about this beer or its aims when drinking it, so it's hard to know what they're going for here. Kind of just barleywine-ish.

Bottle - pours gold white head - nose and taste of whiskey, gin, lemon, saison yeast and oak - medium body

On tap at Of Love & Regret, pours a clear golden, no head. Aroma is decadent, with loads of wildflower honey, treacle toffee, and a touch of barrel. Flavour is fairly tart, with the red wine barrels expressed upfront, lightly sweet honey nectar, and some tannins. Complex and well-balanced. Much tarter and tannic than the nose suggests. Very good.

Sampled at Zythos Beer Festival 2018. Nice vinous aroma. Taste has port wine, light tannins, green apple. Decent stuff.

Sampled at zythod 2018. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours unclear caramel brown. No head. Smell is complex as a Base. But overpowered by a paint thinner aroma from the barrel. Taste is full. Sweet, mild wine, mild plastic. Very organic and natural tasting, but the balance is really off, giving room to plastic like aromas.

28/04/2018 – 10cl glass shared with an international ratebeer crew @ZBF2018 Brown, no head. Nose is a bit booze, vinous, bit malts. Tast is dry, vinous, some fruits, sweet touch, bit spice.

Wässriger Rotwein, milde Säure, Beeren. Keine Karbonisierung, etwas Alkohol, trocken kräutrig. Merkwürdig, kein Aventinus erkennbar. 9/10/8/9/9/9

Sample at ZBF 2018, thanks Belgian RB table. Thanks to Beerhunter111. Cuivrée trouble pas de col ni aucune bulle en présence. Arôme est soja, vinaigre, léger malté avec effet de fruits noir en rétro. Palais est plat se buvant comme une liqueur, barrique dominante, fruité rouge et noir avec encore un effet umami plat voire de soja. Le tout sur un effet moyen de vin. Gimmicky et au final perdant le caractère classique des superbes Weizen brassées par Shneider.

F: almost no real. C: dark brown, bit hazy. A: woody, vinous, fruity, bit chocolate, red fruits. T: sour vinous, fruity, woody with light tannins, bit spicy, red fruits, almost refreshing for 8,2%, full body, lower carbonation, good balanced, enjoyed, sample from 33cl bottle shared with Germany and BE RB crew @ ZBF 2018.

Thanks to Beerhunter111! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2018. Ugly brown amber with no head. Nose is pure wine, oxidized wine, murky, oak, vinous. Taste is no carbonation oxidized vinous wine, leaves, boozy, old wine, almost copper pennies, murky. Zero trace of the base beer & zero trace of beer, not really how BA should work but a fair wine.
