What kind of idea is this ? Taking someone’s beer and than Barrel ageing it, selling it under the same name as the basebeer , with only the mentioning of Zymatore like its no big deal ? Does the brewer even know this ? Does he feel fine with it ( given the fact he apparently HATES americans and their beers and ratebeer and their ’votes ’ , I suppose we probably shouldn’t tell him this ... --------------Anyway . From tap . Pours unclear amber , small white head . Smell is wine, oak . Taste is sharp , wine , oak . Bit sweet . Some tanines . The blending has not been done so well as the barrel has got the total upperhand here . Qualitywise , and for that matter ( and with the current info I have which might not be complete ! ) this is not good at all . Yet tastewise , I really dig it . Guess I like red wine Barrel aged beers . Would have been great though if more of the basebeer had shine trough , and if the actual brewer Barrel aged it / The barrel age-team actually brewed it .

The Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is bourbon at the front and yeasty fruit at the back. Then the taste with the first few sips is really bourbon-full, but then as your palate gets used to the taste, the barrel subsides and the BSA aspects come out in greater force. Pretty good.

4oz pour at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales 2014. Pours a murky caramel brown with zero head. Nose has lots of maple sugar, apple brandy, a little boozy, rum, some nail polish. Flavor is more balanced, sweet brown sugar, maple, rum, a bit woody, some mild booze, mild paint thinner. Oily finish.

4oz pour at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales 2014. Pours a murky orange with a ring of white head. Nose has a lot of grapefruit, a little paint, some dragon fruit, mildly floral. Flavor reminded me so much of the SoBe Dragonfruit tea I used to drink as a kid, orange and grapefruit too, some paint, some berry. Full, tart, acetic finish.
