Description
The Verhuisbrouwerij is a hobby brewery of a few amateur brewers who move their brewery for a day every month to give brewing demonstrations. This part is to be seen as homebrew.
Next to that, some batches are brewed at a bigger ( commercial) scale in another brewery. For these, official beers, De Verhuisbrouwerij is a client brewer.

Small greyish head over rather muddy orange-olive beer. Aniseed, marzipan or frangipane, but not overly sweet. Again (bitterish) almonds in the mouth, marzipan or Lierse Vlaeykens filling in the finish. Bit of caramel. Medium bodied, bit of gristslickness, or even wheatslick. OK, to try if you come across it.

2/07/2011 33cl bottle @ Oostendse Bierjutterij (2011-301)
Pretty clear, reddish brown beer with a ruby glare. Light beige head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, bit sour. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity, sour red berries, green apple skin, a little bitter. Aftertaste: more apple skin, bitter ending. Where's the winter in this beer? The sweet malts, or the nuts for that matter? Did it get infected? Who knows...

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours reddish-gold, cloudy, with a big white head. Bit of a gusher. Sugary nose, some hints of fruit. Flavor is so so, plenty of sugar, caramel, ripe fruits, mild yeast and wheat, subtle alcohol and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Warming finish, some toast and dark sugar, mild bitterness. An alright beer, nothing special.

Bottle. Pours light caramel. No head. Nose/taste of wheat, sweet caramel and candied fruit. Taste has a bit of a gummy bear flavor to it. Flat and uninteresting. Very light body.

(bottle, 33cl, brewed June 2009) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a short and tanned foamy layer. Mildly sweet lemony fruity and slightly toasted malty aroma with notes of ginger spice. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied at most with a calm, even a bit flat carbonation. Slightly toasted malty taste with fruity notes of citrus and berries, accompanied by cacao, ginger and herbal spices; slim and moderately fruity and spicy finish. Likeable but not great Belgian Ale. 07.IV.11

Huge, dense beige head over fully hazy mahogany beer. Dry-woody aromatic nose, dry bark spices. Spicey taste, even medicinal, and strange herbs. Further more wood, and some hints at both alcohol and wheat. Retronasal I get hazelnut oil. More sweet than bitter, but warming up, it develops an outspoken sourish, lactic streak that keeps growing. Medium bodied at least, quite slick and CO²-champenoise feel. Bit seriously spice beer; but totally different from the habitual Glühwein spices. Better than homebrew, but the sourness worries me.

33cl Aged almost 2 years. Pours a clouded dark amber beer with white irregular head. Smells like breadyeast. Very malty caramelflavour without overdone bitterness. Slighty sour like green apples. Roasted malts again in the aftertaste, very balanced though. Ends a little hoppy and dry.
