Lemon, milk, barley malt, and grass aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate white head. Moderately sweet lemon, creamy barley malt, and moderately bitter grass flavor. Good body.

I bought this to bring home, but a thunderstorm hit so I’m drinking it at a covered park bench on the shore of Lake Ontario. Ain’t got nothing else to do for the next hour while I wait this out. Some nice bright floral hops, clean pale malt. I was unable to ascertain the nature of the Bale Breaker collab, as one isn’t normally allowed to take fresh agricultural products across the border…but yet what brewer hasn’t gone to Yakima to get themselves sorted and simultaneously made friends at Bale Breaker? I will say that the malt base here is better than in any of the lagers I had on tap, as is the hop brightness. If you’re going to kill an hour under a covered bench in a thunderstorm on the shores of Lake Ontario, this beer makes a good option.

La Fria, uit een blik op 16-2-24 in Trinidad, Cuba. Op dakterras van bar. Niet bijzonder, gewoon pils.
Just ok as a DIPA

Mooch tasting, courtesy of the gang, bottle
Black colour. Dark chocolate, a bit salty, and just mildly sweet; the barrel seems more evident in the aroma; touch of tar; it's balanced and pleasant, well made.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Near black with small beige head. Woody, mild bourbon, subdued chocolate and marshmallow. Just a medium depth, decent flavours still.

22oz (thx, Peter K.!) shared with Ryan. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, charred barrel, bourbon, some vanilla, molasses, and meaty notes. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: it's good, but not as good as pre-COVID ones. It is still enjoyable, but the flavour profile is not as complex and elegant as it was in some previous releases.
