Tap at Erzbierschof. By the listed ABV, it’s actually the retired one. Sweetish aroma, but rather mellow for an IPA. Taste us very balanced and smooth, making it very pleasant to drink. Not the most interesting one by aroma, but worth a try for balance.

Flavor is moderate bitter, roasted, some fruity sourness. Body is thin, which I could have expected, but a bit more would have been nice. Finishes with ash, burnt, moderate to full bitter.

(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 29 Aug 2015) Hazy orange colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with orange, apricots and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Not very complicated, but fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Impressively bitter, but not much else. A bit buttery, a bit soapy too. But it’s obvious not much malts were used.
