dark brown colour, moderate foamy brown head; aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, cream liqueur and some alcohol; taste of malty sweetness, chocolate, herbs (it reminds me to the expectorant of my childhood, mixtura pectoralis), liqueur, some smoked notes and minimal spicy alcohol; really complex stout.

Thick brown-beige head over nearly black beer; shards of lace. Vinous, woody aroma, intense; old brandy casks. Vanilla, Bourbon, dark fruit on brandy, Boerejongens. Sharpish spirit flavour, upon dark malts power; vanilla, cream chocolate, bit of liquorice. Wild herbs retronasal, felt and a hint of ripe banana. Rich, voluptuous MF, despite quite present carbonation. Alcoholwarming. Excellent, rewarding, even when I’ve had more brilliant in this category.
