Bottle at JF’s, thanks to JF, 09/06/13. Murky orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, hops, grass. Taste is caramel malt forward, bitter orange, light syrup, muted hops, touch of pineapple, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, malty vein running throughout. Ok. Bottled date at 29/05/12 (from Brew Dog Online) made this over a year old so the hops had died a death somewhat but being a malt forward IPA this was still drinkable stuff.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled 20 Mej 2013, 20130608) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized, long lasting and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, pine, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A bit musty IPA. Still pretty good.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized brown head. Smell malts, lightly roasty, light to moderately bourbon. Taste malts, dark malts, roastyness and now the bourbon gets more prominent. Nice bitter finish with some warming alcohol. The warming alcohol could easily be mistaken for carbonation, but carbonation is actually nice and smooth, maybe that’s also due to the oatmeal. Full body, nice beer.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting June 2013. Pours black as the night with a creamy head and lacings. Coffee roast,, wood, liquorice, bourbon and chocolate. Smooth and soft with a great vinous bourbony note. Very tasty although a bit unrefined.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, amber colour with a beige and short foamy head. Bready (cara-)malty aroma with fruity hops and yeast. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready malt-character with notes of caramel and a distinctive touch of liquorice, combined with fruity and mildly spicy hops; dry and moderately bitter finish with fruity and mildly resiny hoppy accents and hints of liquorice and caramel in the aftertaste. A bit uncommon interpretation of an IPA, nevertheless likeable. 02.V.13

Bouteille 33cl, bottled on 26/02/2013.

Bouteille 33cl, bottled on 04/03/2013.
