Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin biege head. The aroma is hoppy and flowery combined with notes of peaches. The flavor is sweet and very fruity and with an alcohol burn on the palate towards the end. A quite simple beer. Thanks to Papsoe for sharing.

Bison Ipa, or is it a buffalo? No aroma, rather clean. Very bitter medicine. Appears syrupy with a tea froth top. Darker than pale yellow american lagers. Very little detectable carbonation. Terribly bitter and lasting linger. Yeww, good example of an IPA. Somebody please get me an Old Heathen for a chaser.

Bomber from the COOP in Davis, CA. Well, to me, it smells like a stout laced with ginger. The color is nearly opaque brown, and the tan head ringed rapidly. Thin to medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is ginger and darkly toasted malts. Guinness on steroids (no, just ginger). Somehow this does not suggest Blandford Fly. It is suggestive of chewy (not the walking carpet), and it is very lightly sweet. Not much bitter, but the lack is made up by the toasted (nie burnt) malt. The finish is just a bit sweet, but that’s ok because the ginger balances. Hop? Who knows. This has got to be one of the best S/H/V brews I can recall. Having said that, and taken another sip, the long lost aroma (from the 50’s) of linoleum paste comes to mind. That may not be a bad thing. As a child I was into sniffing car exhaust, linoleum paste, and probably other things. Ale is better.

22 oz bottle from Indra at my tasting 10/12. 2005 vintage. Pour is clear orange - amber with almost no head. Only a bit of off white clinging to the edge of the glass. Aroma of sweet caramel. Taste is fairly muted sweet caramel with a very crisp hop bitter finish. Good, thoroughly well made. Thanks for bringing this one Eric.

Deep brown,tan head. Great cocoa dark chocolate nose. Light bodied cocoa taste lightly roasted,undercarbonated. Not a stout, actually a brown ale. For those who say it was black, look again, hold it to the light, you can see through it!!

Thanks to beerlando for this much sought-after brew - 2007 silk-screened bomber (that says it’s organic), poured into a hennepin glass - lightly hazy, golden beer, with lively carbonation, and a soft, frothy head - light tartness and acidity in the aroma, with light honey sweetness, orange peel, wildflower, and light mustiness underneath - high, but soft carbonation in the mouth - somewhat creamy mouthfeel - grainy, wheaty, earthy flavor - soft floral notes, with spicy hops in the mix - some melon rind, apple, peach notes - light tartness in the finish - very nice - the first truly great organic beer I’ve had, and it’s a saison - nice!

22 oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle. Pour is just a touch of haze and is straw yellow. Nice looking 1 1/2 inch white head. Aroma of wheat and faint earthy Belgian yeastiness. Taste is initially tart sour wheat, spice, earthiness and very crisp. Nice hop bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Really nice Saison with great complexity. This reminded me of the Westy Blond.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream-colored head. Sweet, fruity (orange/tropical) hop aroma. Red grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit flavor with backing caramel. Lingering grapefruit and pine. Medium body. Decent/good bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from Bottle Barn; Nose of chocolate, light hops, a hint of molasses, and some raostiness; clear brown with a huge tan head that receded slowly lightly lacing the glass; flavor of brown sugar, caramel, and a little hoppy bitterness almost covered by the sweetness up front;

Bomber from Bottle Barn; 2006; Nose is very fruity, like raisiny, sweet with clovey spices, and vanilla hints; Hazy rusty red with a small beige head; flavor has raisin pie, yeast, and some light hop bitterness, along with some light peppery spices. Pretty good double, quite drinkable!
