Numbered bottle at picnic. Hazy light straw with white head. Creamy malts, light yeasty, soft grassy, light lemon peel, dry grain husks, mineral, very light metallic. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied. OK pils.

Opaque deep amber colour, mid-sized lasting, creamy, beige head, very heavy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, overripe fruit (bit sourish impression), raisins, fruit syrup, caramel, wood notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty and bittering hops, caramel, spicy notes. Lingering dry bittersweet aftertaste, malty and earthy notes, bit resinous. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, complex and tasty beer, good but not easy brew.

Robe cuivrée, belle mousse. Nez houblonné. Notes d'agrumes, caramel et épices, résineuse. Trop faible quand même a mon goût. (M)

Bottle shared at home. Completely clear golden with big fluffy white head. Grapefruit, sweet malts, sugary, light fresh cut wood, paper, sweaty hops, creamy, peach, soft oats. Medium sweet, about medium bitter too. Over medium bodied with crisp oily body.

Virtually black with a beige head that’s more frothy than creamy. Aroma of old tobacco smoke, toast, dust. If there’s a fruity component I’m just not getting it. Taste is mildly bitter, full of roasted grains, dust, clay—with the last more pronounced at the end. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. A dry, warm note appears at the finish. The whole thing with it’s smoke and oil and burnt toast and dust is a touch abrasive. Interesting I would say, and not bad, but not necessarily one for the buy again list.
