Description
Anne and Jacques Korczak brew their artisanal beers in a former barn. The beers are 100% natural, brewed only with local, healthy and unprocessed products, without any artificial addition. The hops (Strisselspalt, Hallertau Tradition, Aramis, Colombus, Brewers Gold, ...) come exclusively from Alsatian hops fields and the malt plant is located near Strasbourg.

330ml bottle [a Bartlebierian trade item, thanks!]. Black colour with average to huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of treacle, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasty and hoppy bitterness.

0.33l bottle from strasbourg biere import. pours a hazy pale amber with a steady white head. aroma of sweet grains, fruity hops, melons. flavour of spruce, cereals, apples.

Intensiv röstig-malziger Antrunk, passende starke Hopfigkeit. Deutlich Kaffee im Mittelteil, gepaart mit grasig-süßen und leicht bitteren Noten. Vollmundig, geringe Spuren von Alkohol. Voluminöser und sehr langer Nachhall, weich röstig, sehr bitter, was aber gut eingebunden wird, frisch hopfig. Bisher das beste französiche Bier das ich kenne! 11/13/13/14/12/13

Hefig-hopfiger Antrunk, frisch, süß, spürbar alkoholisch. Dabei sinkt die Süße während der Hopfen, wenn auch nur leicht, steigt. Süffig, mittellanges Finish, hefig wie im Antrunk. 9/11/10/10/9/11

Holziger, trocken hopfiger Antrunk. Grasig bitter, trocken bleibend, mit der Zeit mild süß. Spritzig, der Hopfen steigert sich deutlich. Dann auch malzig wobei der voluminöse Hopfen im Vordergrund bleibt. Langer, hopfig bitterer Nachgeschmack. Gut! 11/12/9/12/10/12

Bottleshare on the England Football team night of shame! Thanks to Fergus. Almost clear amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is soft and mildly dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry sweetness, mild paper. A little spice. Dry floral finish. Passable.

0.33l bottle from strasbourg bière import. pours a cloudy amber with a medium white head and a nice lacing. aroma of grains and sprucy hops. flavour of spruce. oily mouthfeel. long bitter finish. a nice one!

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place, 27/06/2016. Picked up in Strasbourg. A dull amber orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma iswoody berries, stale sweet grains, orange peel, some dried apple. Flavour is composed of bready nutty malts, dried apple, stale grains, apple and a little cinnamon spice. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, dusty dry finish. ok.

Bottle at Bespin, thanks to Fergoose, 27/06/16. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent light beige swirl and spotting. Nose is tangy fruit, light spice, pissy notes, damp hay. Taste comprises fruit esters, light caramel, floral notes, soft bread, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear brown with a medium white head. The aroma is toasted grain, cereal, brown bread, leather, spoil, wood and dirt. The taste is bitter, spicy, brown bread, leather, wood, toasted grain, light metallic vibe, tannins and some astringency with a very dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok.
