Cask at GBBF 2006. A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light touch of fruit. The flavor is sweet with light notes of grapefruit juice - quite extraordinary for a beer - and not really me, but it makes it very refreshing.

Can: Clear gold with little white head. Light aroma overall Metal/fruity malty. Smooth little thin body with some malty caramel & slight hops in it. Slight sweet before a dry short bitter end. Drinkable allround & OK pleasant!

Bottled. Clear pale amber, small head. Fruit aroma with evident notes of Carlsbergy boiled vegetables. Sweet ad fruity, rather light bodied with mellow mouthfeel. Shampoo-like hops try to cover the shortcomings in terms of body, but it’s a doomed project, so the beer falls flat on it’s face simmering in an unclean resiny finish.

500ml bottle - "Exclusive to Sainsburys" according to the collar. Gold with a frothy white head; grassy hop aroma; good hoppy flavour with some malt as well; and a dry finish. Very straightforward, and very good.

Bottle from Sainsburys, Kidlington. This poured a golden colour and had that usually quite impressive nose that Badger somehow seem to get out of a lot of their bottled beers though in nowhere near the same league as Golden Glory, or Champion, still it was quite hoppy and fresh in the aroma. The taste was a touch citric and hoppy again, some reasonable fruitiness and bitterness but overall it lacked just a touch, still another pretty decent effort from Badger.

Can, 5.0%. Fruity aroma. Nice hoppiness in the flavour, subtle but good. A bit high carbonation, but that is what you get in a canned bitter.

Vivid amber colour, almost orange with a contrasting white head. Ginger very prominent, too much so, in both flavour and aroma. Lots of fizziness. Not much else. I won’t be buying this one again.

Bottle. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, butterscotch. Flavour is malt, caramel, butterscotch. a little bit boring.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, smaller foamy head; strong fruity nose - peaches and maracuja - with a very small hoppiness; bitter-sweet flavour; melons in the fruity, sweetish-bitter finish. A very unusual Ale, but refreshing...........

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, lacing off-white head; dryish aromatic, a bit cheesy and hoppy nose; moderate bitter flavour, light bodied; lingering bitter finish with traces of toasted malt. Not bad, but absolutely not moreish.......
