Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a creamy beige head that holds well. Good lacing. Aroma of coffee, caramel and black pepper. Flavour of spicy rye, blackcurrant, Coca-Cola and orange zest. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A peppery, luxurious Black IPA.

Bottled 330ml (Alko)
Clear deep honey color, smallish off-white head. Very fruity overriped kiwi and pineapple, some citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity, lots of kiwi, pineapple, citrus, gooseberry flavors. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Beautiful showcase of Nelson Sauvin hop. Feels very fresh.

On tap at the Lumsden. Sweet, grass, peach. Nice bitter finish that ends very crisply. Clean, tasty, super refreshing. Ideal for a sunny afternoon! Perhaps not as drinkable as their regular pilsner due to the strength, but it’s another really well crafted beer.

Golden with a white head - Good hop aroma with citrus - Good malt body to support a hop profile that has citrus and olso some piney herbal notes - The hops goes into the finish with fruity and piney notes and ends bitter dry - This was good

Bottle from Taniguchi. A deeper orange-gold color than I expected, this slow gusher is topped by an impressive beige head that leaves copious lacing behind. The aroma is big juicy citrus with orange candy notes and perhaps hint of pine. Medium bodied with a semi-dry finish. The flavor is candied orange, citrus and pine. Not complex but a satisfying APA.
