375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 22. Proper good barley wine this, as you'd expect from an old chimneys collab. Nice deep fruitiness, leathery glimpses, toffee, layered dark malts, balanced glowing dark fruits.. lovely sipper with an evolving depth of flavour.

Bottle bought at Grumpy Goat, Reading. Opaque chestnut brown. Thick foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Burnt caramel and coffee. Treacle. Malty streak. Light bodied. Thin. Sticky. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Flavoursome interesting Brown Ale. Not the sweet insipid stuff you can get.
