From bottle #3 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Caramel malt and light spiced aroma. Flavour starts sweet and spiced. A bit dry and malty flavoured following this before the finish. Light metallic too. Light wooden and spiced finish. Dry caramel and mild fruity too.

bottle - Pours lightly hazy deep copper with a two finger, lingering head. It has a substantial citrus hops aroma. The flavor is of course led by big hops that has some citrus and pine notes. The caramel malts keep up though so the balance is good. It leads into a dry, hop heavy finish that lingers pleasantly. I didn’t find the complexities in this beer that my very favorites of the style have, but it’s still a very good brew.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Perfectly black with dark brown head. Oily and tarry from nose to finish. Sweet and thick, but never cloying or inky. Huge, but never assaulting. Soft, but powerful. Whipped cream with chocolate and licorice. No finesse or finer details, but a damn solid, edgeless stout. A gentle giant - like having the biggest guy in highschool as your best friend.

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some wooden notes as well as coffee, vanilla, some toffee and chocolate. Flavour is the same in a rather powerful, but smooth way. Very balanced and nice.

Bottle from the Beer Geek. Amber color with a minimal beige head. Roasted, but no way toasted, malt - very subtle - not raw like American reds. A little candi. Yeast spice. Smells warm when it’s cold. What a great aroma. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sweet malt, with candi notes, yeast and spice. Finishes a bit sweet, but it truly fits the style.

Pour is a black with no head at all. Aroma is a decent coffee with some dark chocolate. Flavor is much of the same but it grew on me the more I drank of it. Lots of roasted dark malt with a nice bakers chocolate and a bit of crips hops. Fairly decent beer and much better at room temp than cold out of the fridge.

22oz bomber pours a hazy, translucent, orange with a rocky slightly off white head that both laced the glass and took a while to faded. Plenty of sediment in the bottom of the bomber. Aroma is very nice and reminded me a bit of FFF Dreadnaught. Nose has oranges, pine, tropical fruits, spice and a little bit of sweet candy. Flavor is similar with oranges, lemons, crackers, and a little bit of stale malt that detracts just a little. Mouthfeel is intense based on some heavier alcohol and high carbonation. The bomber went down smooth and easy. This IPA offering is a little more intense than others but still very nice.

Bomber from Beer Geek. Pretty dark brown color with ruby glints; decent tan head. Smells like stout with resin. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Tastes like a stout with resin. The stout seems to have a lot of toasted malt, and the IPA seems to have a lot of resin bitter. There is an underlying sweet note from the stout. This is a killer combination. Get it if you can.
