(Can) Pours black with short lived tan head. Interesting aroma of pine and mocha with floral and burnt toffee hints. Full bodied, oily a little sticky. Good fine prickly carbonation. Great taste. Some very short lived fruit notes at start. Replaced by dark toffee mix of sweet and bitter. Finishes on a strong bitter note, more black coffee than hops. Very interesting beer. Very tasty.

Bottle at Hamer Hall before Flaming Lips concert. Nutty, coffee nose. Roasty chocolate with nice bitter aftertaste. Delighted to find this at a fancy ass music venue.

From a 375ml can on 4/10/2019. Pours a murky golden with a tiny head which disappears immediately. Has a medium fruit/zest/spice aroma. Tastes strongly of pineapple juice, with a good dose of citrus and peel. Has reasonably firm and spicy bitterness for a NEIPA, though I guess it's not far off imperial territory. Fullish bodied with average to prickly carbonation. Interesting and quite flavoursome, but doesn't quite hit the bullseye.

Bottle from Dan Murphy’s, Fairfield, Melbourne. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is roasty, light caramel malt, burnt treacle, liqouirce. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a moderately smooth, roasty, liqouirce, light dry charcoal, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can. Almost black with a fat coat of tan head. Aroma of pine, dark chocolate, bread, some grapefruit. Smooth, medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Moderately sweet with a bare hint of roast, mocha, licorice and a big whack of pine. Coffee and bitterness just on the high side of moderate at the finish - wouldn't have minded it a little drier or more bitter at the end. But a solid drop.

From a 375ml can on 27/3/2019. Pours a clear golden with a medium head. Has a slightly dank fruity and herbal aroma. Flavour wise the predominant features are sweet citrus followed by a quite blunt, bordering on harsh, lemony bitterness. Has some biscuit malt in the background. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lacking in balance and drinkability for mine.
