Tap at Sunset Grill - rather light red for the style, with a nice, fluffy white head - aroma has lots of lighter fruity esters, like cherry and strawberry - bright, fruity flavor, with a lot of candi sugar coming through, but it manages to keep from being cloying - a lot of tripel-ish flavor characteristics coming through, but I can forgive it for that - had this next to the Founders quad, which made this one seem all the better.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 Oct) Dark amber colour with huge, firm, off-white head. Fruity nose with raisins, dried figs, notes of raspberries and blackberries. Slightly wineous with notes of molasses. Fruity, slightly roasted, taste with notes of brown sugar, caramel, raisins, figs and prunes. Sweet but well balanced, with a spicy finish. Full bodied, with creamy texture. Tasty and very warming.

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a deep hazy light beige color ale with a big white foamy head with perfect retention. Aroma of Saaz hops is easily identifiable with some noticeable spices and a very interesting Belgian yeast. Taste is a mix between some spices, which may includes some white pepper, slightly funky yeast and a dry hoppy finish. Body is a bit light and alcohol is very well masked. This beer is an interesting experiment for sure which I wouldn’t mind revisiting again.

A nice belgian-inspired bock (or bock-inspired belgian) - bright, fire-red color, with thick, off-white lace - aroma of caramelized brown sugar, bread yeast, cherries and light winter spices - soft carbonation, medium bodied - a little tangy up front, with light fruity esters - a nice mingling of malts creates a flavor much like dark chocolate covered caramels - warming alcohol and light spices in the finish - not really a true bock, but who cares?

2009-02-24, bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm, 8-5-8-5-16=40
Hazy blond color; big creamy head. Spicy aroma, like a Tripel. Good body strength, malt flavor, dry, spicy, with much more bitterness than a Tripel, some Belgian yeast and light alcohol feeling. Very good.

2006-09-01, draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen, 7-5-8-5-16=41
Hazy golden color; thick head. Strange aroma, vanilla, soft spices, sweet wood, toffee. Malty flavor, good structure, some sweetness, bold hopping, but well blended with the rest; toffee. Bold ending bitterness. Original and interesting.

Bottle: massive white head on top of a golden ale. Fruity, spicey and hop tones dominate the taste. Dry and clean aftertaste is quite nice.
