Description
Since George and Susannah Bateman opened our independent family brewery in 1874, we’ve been using the best possible ingredients and craft brewing methods to make beers that people love.

Four generations later, and we’re still doing things our own way – and have quite a few more beers to our name.

Half-Pint, cask ale at Flying Horse (JDW). Patchy beige head slowly fading over a deep copper-brown body, upper part lacing on the glass. Promising on the nose with brown malts, lightly roasted. Fine mixed taste of nuts, toffee, and a distant note of dark fruits. Lightly roasted bitterness to the ending. Like it. (Gatwick, 10.12.2023).
