Pours a light jazy golden colour and a dense white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma's of German Pils or Kellerbier: grassy and fruity hops with some malt/grain. Retronasal it's light malty sweet with delicate aromahops. Flavour is soft bitter with light malty sweetness. Light bodied. Light moderate bitter finish. If I hadn't known I would have thought this was 100% German.

Can. Hazy reddish amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is semi dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. A reasonably toffee streaked malt bill, touch of cream and caramel. No real malt depth of maturity though. Some ripe fruits and a light touch of spice. Unwelcome if mild esters on the semi dry finish. Serviceable barleywine.

On tap at Craft & Draft, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, moderate sweetness and a hint of fruitless. Flavour is oily and piney, with lots of bright piney hops and moderately sweet caramely biscuity malt. For a three-month old keg, the hops are preserved well. Piney and sweet finish. Excellent.

On tap at BeerTemple - Amsterdam, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out strawberries upfront, but with lots of phenols as is common with strawberry beers, along with subdued candied sugar and esters. Flavour is somewhat boozy, with a harsh bitterness, gentle phenols, subdued strawberry, and light esters. Messy and rough. Not good.

On tap at BeerTemple - Amsterdam, pours a murky dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out intense caramel malt, ample resinous hops, and brown sugar. Flavour is intensely malt, with a wallop of caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, and balanced with bold resinous hops. Underrated I think - this is a very nice American barley wine.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is intensely sweet, with artificial caramel, vanilla, and cocoa - this honestly doesn't smell too good. Flavour is thankfully better, with intense caramel, treacle, cocoa and brown sugar. No roast at all. Fun stuff, but all I could do is a few sips.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out big resinous hops, a little pine, some stone fruits, and caramel bready malt. Flavour is more of the same, with a big wallop of resinous hops, and just enough caramel malt to back. Very expertly balanced, even if a bit more on the malty side for my tastes. Excellent.
