Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Black with ruby edges and a beige head. Lots of black fruit and liquorice. Wow, that is just so lovely, too sweet and sugary but the alcohol mainlines and wakes you yp. Too sugary, but wow, it has completely given me my second wind. 3.6/5 Now this is my go to De Molen regular beer. It has saved me several times on the train journey back from Bodegraven to Brussels after the Borefts beer festival. In fact I’m going to look for a bottle and if I have one I’ll re-rate it. I found a bottle 14/07/11 on the back label. Spicy soy sauce aroma, but then the flavour and body are just spectacular. It’s a perfect strong Belgian ale. Not an imperial stout. At least that’s what I think Menno said about it. Almost more a quad than an Impy Stout. Anyway it’s fantastic.
