Hazy dark blond with big head. Aroma and flavour have orange zest and lots of dry, yeasty notes.

Hazy light orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, most, grapes, yeasty, lightly citruspeel and citruspeel tart-bitter. Decent to medium body and medium carbonation. Quite alright albeit not my style. 7-3-7-3-15

DUST saison with wine most, hopped with Nelson Sauvin. Thanks Loick for sharing the bottle at this lovely rooftop tasting event! Cobweb-lacing, snow white, medium thick, mousy head, misty peach blonde robe with ochre-ish tinge. Aropma of ripe purple gooseberries, rosé champagne, sweetened cider, ripe pear, chewing gum, dust, bread crust, peach. Fruity onset, hints of sweet ripe gooseberries, green kiwi and red apple, spritzy carbonation with minerally side effects, soft bready maltiness with a bread crust-like aspect to it, quickly drowning in the wine most part, turning very sweet white wine- and even spumante-like in the end, with a lot of apple, kiwi and obviously white grape effects lingering about, the fruitiness accentuated by well-measured, purely aromatic Nelson Sauvin. Its hop bitterness, however, is dearly missed. Sweet white wine mixed with a simple Belgian blonde beer, too sweet for me personally so I cannot say I thoroughly enjoyed this one, but admittedly it was a clever move to combine this recipe with Nelson Sauvin so extra point for originality.

This is very dry "dry hop Saison"... But tasty... The saison is a bit overpowered by the hops. Don't drink too cold.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker nr Gent, Belgium and consumed at home listening to Snapped Ankles -Stunning Luxury and cooking Beef, Hook Norton Double Stout and Oyster Mushroom Pies. Pours hazy dark gold with a white head. I've just had a grape beer (Portugese) and commented on the fact that these beers are not really my cup of tea and then what do I do, yep, I go and pour myself another. This is better, but still not really doing it for me, could do with being sweeter. As the name suggests this is grapey but unusually for a chardonnay I pick up gooseberry, it's tangy and a little zappy. Ok.

21 April 2019. At Republiek, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy ochre-orange with a small, thinning, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of raw rhubarb, green olive, sourdough, apple peel, green banana, earth, onion. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of unripe apricot, banana peel & yellow apple, supplemented by bitter rhubarb, green olive, hinting at vegetable oil, earthy & grainy as well with a sourish wheaty & lemony undercurrent. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lingering (retronasal) rhubarb, grain & bread. Medium body, slick-oily texture, lively carbonation. A little rough around the edges but the rhubarb & earthy character is there for sure.
