Bottle, 5.4%. Fruity and peppery aroma. Amber colour. The head is big, white, stable and rocky. Full-flavoured beer, quite sweet, some hops and bonbon flavour. Slight liquorice or anis aftertaste/feel. Pleasant carbonation, which makes the beer quite drinkable.

Bottled. Clear, dark brown with reddish notes. Nice tan head. Mild aromas of coffee, chokolate, dried fruits, licorice and roastiness. Maybe some beef stock too. Wonderful sweet malty flavor with the aroma-elements, alcohol and hops. Full, sweet body with a pleasant fizzyness. Long sweet, lightly hoppy finish. Surely a warming beer, but the aromas could be a bit more pronounced. Pity it costs 5.5€ here in Norway, but I was lucky and got it in a trade with MiP. (060130)

Pour is a dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is malts but had a very horrible chemical smell as well. Flavor is malty but even the malts really don’t stand out. Not a very good beer if you looking for taste and aroma, and why would you look for beer with anything else?

Auch ich finde dieses Bier in keinem Teil übermäßig süß, im Natrunk dafür umso mehr würzig. Besonders im Mittelteil bin ich allerdings schon der Meinung, dass das Bier zu würzig ist. Die Malzaromen, die sich ebenfalls im Mittelteil ausbreiten, gefallen dafür um so mehr. Der Nachgeschmack ist zwar leicht hopfig, insgesamt aber recht wässrig und unpassend im Vergleich zum Rest des Bieres. Test vom 16.1.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,11,9,7,13,11 - 10,20

(Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Actually this is completely dominated by sweet malt - very, very sweet malt - with only a discreet hint of bitterness in the finish. Very classical Helles. 211205

Bottle. Frothy good mostly lasting head. Nice orange colour. Week bur delicate aroma. Very bitter finish, but otherwise not that powerfull. Nice palate.

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured; deep sweet-malty nose (nutty, bready) with a tinge of honey; sweet malty start, becoming dryer soon; big malty flavour; shorter bitter-sweet finish, quite dry. A nicely rounded, very tasty Vienna !

(bottle) Clear amber colour with a big foamy white head. Dusty and soft sweet toastmalty nose, slightly grainy with caramel. Strong malty body with caramel, bittersweet malty finish with light herbal hoppy notes. Pleasant to drink.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown with a huge, brownish head that simply refuses to dissipate. Soft and smooth with notes of roasted malt and only a discreet hint of hops. Typical South German dark lager - very delicious. 020503
