Bottle: Copper coloured, thin, fluffy off-white head; malty nose (caramel&faint traces of molasses) with a touch of aromatic(!) hops; slightly sweetish malty taste in the beginning, becoming quickly dryer in the mouth; mild bitter flavour; malty and fruity finish with a moderate bitterness; well balanced, well drinkable !

Bottle Dark amber coloured with reddish tints, thin but long lasting beige head; complex aroma: molasses (or liquorice ?) and roasted malts, dried fruit, a bit vinous, too; slightly sweetish flavour, becoming dryer towards the bitter (chocolatey)-malty finish; creamy mouthfeel, quite full bodied :-), but avoids becoming really sweet. Well quaffable, but too much molasses...............

(bottle) Clear copper colour with a foamy slightly off-white medium head. Dusty slightly sweet malty aroma with lemon peel. Light sweet fruity flavour, medium body. Smooth sweet malty taste, drying out towards the finish; slightly bitter and hoppy aftertaste with a consistent and almost complex malts character. A tasty seasonal brew, nothing great but well quaffable.

(Bottle 50 cl) 6,5% ABV in my version. Light brown with a rich and frothy head that fades a bit too fast. Very full-bodied and malty with a sweet, lightly caramelish touch. Yet a dry bitterness in the finish making a balanced and harmonious Doppelbock. Good, solid stuff. 220801

Bottle, 6.9%. Sweet aroma, dried fruit. Cloudy, reddish, dark brown colour. Thick stable head. Nice flavour. Malty, well-balanced alcohol flavour. Coffee aftertaste, roasted and chocolaty. Very satisfying.

Bottle. Hoppy, malty aroma. Pale golden colour, stable white head. Alcoholic flavour, also malty. This simply reminds me too much of a strong lager.

A light yellow beer with a dense white head. The aroma is sweet and rather hoppy as well as lightly malty. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy, which gives it some citrus notes - but from a weird hop sort I can’t recognize. The hops gives it a dry end.

(Bottle 50 cl) Light, amber colored beer with distinct, floating impurities. Quite small head. This is probably what we in Denmark call a "Christmas-pilsener". Malty aroma and flavor, pleasant light caramel-sweetness and also a distinct bitterness. True to tradition, an excellent beer from Weltenburger. 051103
