Bottle at home with friends in London. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a small, white foam head. Rich doughy malt nose, some hay. Medium sweet flavor with sugary dough, light lemon, mellow alcohol, white sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with basic, doughy malts, white sugar, light herbal hops, hints of vegetables, straw. Very simple but generally OK beer.

33cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt range. Pale amber with a billowing white head; rich tropical fruit aroma; soft and fruity in the mouth with piney hops; and a pleasantly warming bitter finish with a floral touch. A pretty good ale.

500ml bottle - a solid black body with a thin beige head, a feint smoky nose, with a hint of mild fruits. First taste is a delicate malt, very thin palate, with a slightly acidic after taste. Nothing really screams out, it was just okay really.

Bottle from Sainsburys, Pinner. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, fruity, floral aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity and maybe some ginger in there. Very easy drinking and I rather like the label.

This one has a fantastic hoppy aroma to it, and while the taste isn’t quite so strong it’s still very pleasant. A beer to savour.

330ml bottle. Pours deep gold with a large, frothy head. Aroma is sherbet lemon and orange. Taste has a biscuit malty start and a sherbet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 12/8/2012. Pale gold with a slight white head. Lemon fruit and hay aroma with some grassy hops. Flavour had cereal malts, more fruit and a dry finish. Good.
