Draft @ ML Fontainas, 22/7/2014, apparently the same as the Lambicus but w/o the Lambic. De couleur ambrée, col épais crémeux blanc cassé. Arôme est fruité, modéré aux relents d’agrumes et une note maltée (grains concassés) et un léger fleuri. Palais est agréablement bien houblonné sur une note de pamplemousse, agrumes, palais sec et picotant avec une once de tropical, résiduel de pin et un rappel au Chinook? Malt pâle, léger cara pour un fini restant légèrement amer et citronné.

25 cl. glass @ CML Fontenais. First drinkable glass from a new keg, this looks like murky ripe brown peaches amber with a huge creamy off-white head, super murky. There were actual small pieces of hop when I finished my glass, some yeast flakes as well. The recipe is an updated version of Moeder Lambicus aka Moeder Fucker I without the Cantillon Lambiek added, this is pure IPA. Nose is super thick blue cheese Sorachi Ace (I checked, Sorachi is one of the 3 hops in here), ridiculous, pure thick melted blue cheese Sorachi goodness, some apple pie and ripe peach, such thick & soft hops. Tasrtes of thick creamy blue cheese Sorachi Ace melted on top of an apple pie, ripe cooked apples and dough, overripe peaches, super creamy, herbal hop in the finish, caramel & some bitter esters in the back. Very thick & creamy, this is amazing, this is how I want IPA’s to taste like, I really like Sorachi Ace.

Draught @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Just released, a week ago. Pours cloudy very dark amber with rocky but stable off-white head. Intense hoppy aroma with notes of yeast and citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with rough estery notes and touches of malt and caramel. Hints of fruit. Bitter, hoppy finish. Enjoyable and quite heavy, although the ABV is a riddle here. The brewers themselves admit to have lost track of it in the proces but estimate it at around 6.8%. A nice beer.

Tap @ Moeder Lambic Sint-Gillis. Cloudy yellow/white beer, white foam. Aroma is citrussy hops, notes of lemon, crispy. Very refreshing and easy drinkable. Very good.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. De couleur paille sur un léger trouble, col épais blanc. Arôme est fruité assez prenant et restant centré sur un léger citronné. Pointe de feuilles vertes et léger fleuri. Malt en rétro nasal - pointe pilsner. Palais reste léger au profil sec-grains sur une amertume modérée du malt, pils voire cara pâle. Notes agrumes légères avec ce côté bourgeon en retrait. Le tout reste sec et terreux avec un rappel de thé vert et un pamplemousse et un côté pomelo se terminant sur un épicé et pointe épineux discret. Possible Simcoe ou Galena.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit schöner großen Schaumkrone. Geruch dezent hopfig, fruchtig. Geschmack bitter fruchtig, trocken, malzig.

Hazy orange and a lot of golden dark orange. Sticky head tobacco leaves nose of cotton candy. Piney oil and bitter bay leaves. Taste is very bitter. A bit rindy of old oranges and allspice. Bitter nutty with grape fruit. Sweet and tart finish. 3

Draught Huge, fine & dense off-white head over faintly veiled orange-amber beer; lots of lace. USA-mop variety Bretts dominating the nose (God, this is getting bl$$dy tiresome). Dirty linen, grainy spices. Very bitter-spicy, nearly pharmaceutical. Bretts and other wild yeasts are omnipresent, and giving just a hint at lambic. Medium bodied at best, high attenuation, slick , and a bit overcarbonated. Interesting - in all senses of the word...
