Cask@Brew Wharf, London. Hazy deep golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet honey with some slight caramel and mild floral tones. Flavour is honey, toffee, some mild wooden and mild nectary tones too. A bit sweet, but not overly so, as it's also got a slight bit of bitterness to it.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase - c. October 2010. Pours hazy orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Pine and citrus fruits in the aroma. Lightly sweer, floral for sure, some pale bread, grassy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter hops to finish. Not bad.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase. Pours cloudy gold with a foamy, white head. Excellent fresh hops in the aroma. Decent flavour, fairly earthy and grassy. Light bodied with fine carbonation. A little thin on the finish. Nice one overall.

Cask at ACBF 2012. Dark red/brown. No head apart from a small beige ring round the glass. Aroma is smoky, hint of chili, roasty malt, bit of coffee bitterness. Taste is initially roasty malt and coffee, then burning spice. Very nice chili taste, pretty hot but still lots of flavour. Bit like a spicy noodle broth. Bit of worcester sauce maybe. Actually quite liked this.

Cask at Brew Wharf. Red brown colour, very small gold bubbly head. Aroma is fairly regular pale ale smell. Bit of citrus, maybe something a bit dark there but only a hint. Taste is a touch chocolatey, roasty malt, bit of creaminess and a touch of hops. Later sips are more grainy. Very soft in the mouth. Taste is more interesting than the smell definitely. Further down the hops dominate. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Marina Black Cat RyePA on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Bottle at Brew Wharf. First impression is that it seems pricy for something they make here and that it is 330ml. Pours very thick dark brown black colour with creamy gold head. Aroma is booze, lots of coffee and citrus hops. Bit of roasty malt but it is obscured a bit by the booze. Taste is coffee grounds, very strong, some chocolate, no hops really, but full on darkness. Very thick and almost a bit slick. However, the best of their beers I had.

Cask at Brew Wharf. Pale watery amber colour, small bubbly white head. Aroma is soft lemony grasssy hops, little bit of stink. Taste is ok, not massive amount there, quite grainy, little bit of light citrus again. Soft and easy to drink, but not ultra exciting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Off The Cuff on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.
