(Tap [cask engine?] at the brewpub) Quite boring brown ale. Aroma was nice but flavour left something to hope for. I really cannot pinpoint what I wished to find but nevertheless I was bit disappointed. Drinkability was good.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted and breadish malt. Rather bitter hoppy to the dark roasted malt base. Bitter and bone dry finish. A bit too dry and bitter, not in balance.

Clear gold beer with a residual suddy whote head. Light dry palate, low carbonation. Sweet malt with some banana and a trace of sweet orange, there is a general aromatic sweetness about this beer. Finishes dry and minerally. Inititially I thought this was an okay beer but the sweet aromatic flavours grew on me and kept me coming back for another sip. Not bad at all.

Clear amber brown beer, tidy off white head. Light dry palate. Dry malt and dry bitterish hops. It’s smooth and pretty well balanced but utlimately comes off as a competant typcial English ale. And by typical I mean with an over dry palate.

Cask at the Brew Wharf. Pours cloudy brown with a bubbling, white head. Lightly roasted malt aroma with some faint cocoa. Fairly sweet flavor with notes of dark, toasty bread, brown sugar, and tobacco, along with light, dry and earthy bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes dry, sweet and malty with mild roast. Quite good.

Cask at the Brew Wharf. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, off-white cap. Whole flower, raw hop aroma. Powerful. Flavor is faintly sweet with light caramel malts, then the hops take hold, with tons of citrus and pine. Strong notes of grapefruit and florals. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes bitter, fairly wet, with strong resins. Could use some more malty sweetness, but who cares, really. If you like hops you’ll love this.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase. Poured a semi-clear garnet, with a bubbly, off-white head. Good aroma, with pine and citrus hops, along with caramel malts. Sweet flavor, with great balance. Lightly toasted malts, toffee, citrusy bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes balanced with some sweet, bread and caramel malts and fruity hops. Great beer.

Hazy deep gold beer with a tidy white head. Light semi dry palate. Softish creamy malt base, bags of piney hops, fresh and a little floral. Some grassy bitterness develops. All very smoothly joined up. Finishes fairly dry but not astringent. Lingering bitter marmalde aftertaste. Unapolgetically hoppy and very drinkable. Nice one Ang!
