Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, grass, pine, orange - citrus, mango, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a duration, hoppy, citrus. Cask (gravity - Jug) @ The New Wheatsheaf, 24 Southwark Street, Greater London, England SE1 1TY.[ Courtesy of Phil L ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, peach, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100802]

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Dark brown no head. The cocoa nibs really come through on the aroma but more so on the initial swallow. Full in mouth despite the low ABV. Soke vanilla on the finish. Not as milky as I feared as I dont really like milk. Very likeable and the choc cocoa is lovely

On tap at the Brew Wharf. Clear amber beer. No real head. Smooth and semi dry palate. Zero carbonation. Fresh hop flavours delivered in a totally flat beer! New territory for me! Piney minerally hops, sublte grapefruit and orange - not bitter, well maybe a tad. Smooth dry finish. I’m used to having fresh hop delivered in a more refined way but this will do!

On tap at Brew Wharf. Slight hazy amber beer. Little white head. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Lightly sour malt but there is a sweet note as well! Seamless orangey hop - not that bitter. Sweet raspberry in the undertone! A confusing beer to put it mildly but it’s okay.

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Copper brown colour clear. Lasting off whote head. Toffee aroma with slight spice. Soft in mouth. Possibly the best condition for a beer I have had here. Very soft and the toffee carries through. A Marzen? That could be. I liked it. Good drinkability. Good beer.

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Hazy brown with disappearing off white head. Good grapefruit hop aroma and some toffee. It’s good flavourwise in the mouth needs better condition but I love the hoppy lastibg finish balanced by the sweetness of the toffee. Just a touch too toffee for me

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Slight herbal to vague spiced. Dry malty and spiced hoppy finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy orange with no lasting head. Aroma is fruity and mild citric. Bitter and grapefruity. More bitter than aromatic. Bone dry and with a persisting grapefruity note. Bitter and bone dry finish.

(Draugh [cask engine?] at the brewpub) I like when a pale has got grapefruit aroma and flavour and this beer had both. Other flavours were fruitiness, white bread and bitterness - so, no surprises. Balance could have been better.
