Bottle sampled at SIB, pours cloudy dark orange. Aroma and flavour of figs, dates, caramel malts, spices and Belgian yeast. Lots of carbonation - very smooth. Excellent.

I suppose I realized that this was a belgian double when I bought it, but it really didnt taste like one. strong berry, maybe cherry? aroma right off the bat, spice and orange flavor and a great malt/hop balance. i really didnt know what to expect from this one, was a crapshoot when i bought it and i was very pleasantly surprised.

Bought at the Dépanneur À Tout Prix in Laval, Quebec. Pours a hazy caramel colour with hints of orange. Nice creamy off-white head with excellent retention and vivid tiny bubbles carbonation. The nose is mild with Belgian yeast and some spice. Nice creamy thick lace and medium to full-bodied. The taste is also quite mild, with the alcohol well-hidden. Good spicy flavours (like cloves) with the Belgian yeast, bread, caramel malt and decent sweetness. This is a great Tripel for this Canadian micro.

Purchased at Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec in September 2005. Pours a cloudy amber-beige colour with a big fat off-white creamy head. The retention is very heavy and long with big chunky foam lacing. Hoppy, earthy and floral notes for the aroma. Smooth mouthfeel and medium-bodied. The taste is a good mix of caramel malt with a good punch in the mouth, from the hop. Not crazy bitter, but great taste of hop for sure. Great brew for hop lovers !

This Charlevoix region witbier pours a cloudy golden colour with a big white fluffy head that stays forever (well, almost) and leaves great patchy-chunky lace. Lots of carbonation. Very nice spicy nose at first pour, then the Begian white beer yeast appears and the aromas soften. The oranges are then felt. Average watery mouthfeel with a very mild tart. Refreshing wheat taste with a lemon twist and the yeast present again. I do feel a touch of maple in the aroma and taste too. A pretty good witbier, from a great micro that has a very nice brewpub.

Bought this one in bottles, and sampled the first time at the pub itself. Poured a dark purple-red colour with red highlights. The head was beautiful, tanned, creamy, had excellent retention and great lacing. Got a blueberry scent at first, then turned into spices and Belgian yeast. Very, very smooth mouthfeel with not even close to a burn. The taste had good fruit with some strong bite. Berries lingered into the aftertaste. Just like all the other Vobiscum brews, this one is excellent.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with large foamy head with great retention ans perfect lacing. Aroma of dry piney hops with a noticeable level of bitterness. Taste is also a nice mix between a medium caramel malt backbone with notes of pines and bitter hops. Body is quite full with great carbonation factor and no alcohol was noticeable. Well done even though this is not the most interesting hops around.

bottle pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet vanilla and oak, with a brown sugar and yeast note. Flavor is sweet bread malts upfront, turning bitter and metallic finish that’s unpleasant.

2009 bottle thanks to Savvy1982! Pours a very lively hazy gold with a tall white head, lots of lacing. Strong floral citrus nose with lots of yeast aroma and elements of grassy malts. Flavor is rich with light malt and grassy flavors lots of citrus in the backend with some yeast esters and a slight alcohol burn. This is a top notch beer.
