Bottle: Poured a deep clear amber color ale with large foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of floral hops with subtle bitterness. Taste is a mix between some floral hops with some caramel malt and light bitterness at the end. Body is about average with great carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not bad though not as hoppy as I was expecting.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with a nice grassy touch. Taste is also dominated by citrus notes though not as dominant as if Cascade had been used and a light earthy and grassy finish with a decent caramel malty presence. Body is a bit too light with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done though a bit watery and not the most interesting hops available out there.

Bottle shared at the DC Local tasting. Pours an opaque, viscous black with a foamy beige head. Nose has chocolate, spices, cinnamon with some light toast. There’s almost a dustiness to the nose. Flavor is chocolate, toast, nutty. Heavy and thick in the mouth with a lactic feel.

Very good, dense, almost mango-coloured head, leaving rings over foxy-orange beer. Initially very cheesy nose, cheesecrackers, very faint citrus, later passionfruit bavarois; slightly oxydized and strangely sweet. Bitter, hoppy, nearly metallic flavour, immediately superseded by much sweeter, typical passion fruitsorbet or -bavarois flavours. Some caramel; whilst in the very finish, again metallic bitterness. Quite slick, but only medium to well-bodied, yet a bit chewy MF. Finally very pleasing, if unsettling at first. Very surprised about the oxydation streak, as the beer is bottled scarcely 1 month ago. Grand merci à Sylvain et ses compadres!

Huge, just yellowish tinted head, very tenacious over hazy yellow-ochre beer, well-carbonated. Something as astringency deploying in the nose, sweetish malts, dough. More malts, with a point of bitterness and one of piquancy, that isn’t quite sourish. Finish has a bit of spices, quite yeast-determined. Very carbonated MF, on the verge of fizzy, light body. Sweetish aftertaste. OK blonde. Very yeast-intoned, if not overly Belgian, IMO. Grand merci à Sylvain!

Huge yellow-ochre head, lacey, over deep brown-amber beer with orange sides and tiny, but visible UFO’s. Very spicy aroma, with nutmeg, ginger, aniseed and cinnamon. Dark malts, but sweet. Sweet, spicy. Bit of all the above spices from the nose, plus pepper and coriander. This simply is liquid speculoos. It’s certainly VERY spicy and VERY sweet. Well to very well-bodied, quite slick to the point of oily. Maybe just a tad more reticence might have benefitted it. OTOH, this is also a statement against dullness. I like the au goût évolutif Now where did I hear that one before? Grand merci à Sylvain et compadres!
