Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark orange pour with a beige head. Orange peel, coriander and vanilla aromas. Flavours of sultanas, toffee and light spices. Gentle citrus tang. Dry, fruity finish. Nice.

250ml Bottle (2005 Vintage) - Copper/amber in colour. Malty and vinous aroma with hints of leather, mince pies, fruit cake and raisins. The taste is rich, warming and malty with spicy malt, raisins, dates, caramel and a hint of whisky in the finish.

bottle, a gift from friends in Devon. Clear red-golden colour, mid-sized head. Malty nose with aroma of berries. Fruity overall character, berries, currant, with a pleasant sourness/fruitiness. Quite fruity, slightly malty and hopps.

Bottle @ Liva, Kolding. Pours ruby amber with a lasting creamy white head. Nose is hops. Citrus and green herbs. Quite fresh. Flavor is refreshing. Hops, citrus with a layer of caramel malts beneath. Smooth and very crisp. Nice.

Cask at the Wharf. It’s a black one, topped by a diminishing thin layer of beige bubbles. Roasted to burnt nose with some chocolate and coffee. A hint of alcohol too, nothing boozy, more like in a strong wine. Flavorwise it’s quite mellow and rounded, blending roasted, burnt malts and hints of dark chocolate with dried fruits and a touch of something stronger than your average beer. Slightly metallic in the very end, a bit unpleasant actually. Medium body, almost without carbonation. Except for the metallic finish and lack of carbonation, this is a pleasant one. Tasteful and complex, and it goes well as a winter beer. 101216

Cask at the Wharf. A clear, copper beer with a quite pretty beige head. The aroma is really pleasant, with some roasted coffee-like malts, toffee, prunes and blue plums and a touch of citrusy, fruity hops. Full-bodied and smooth on the palate, finishing with a pleasant fruity bitterness. There’s toffee, roasted notes and fruityness initially. A pleasant and easy drinking beer, tasteful and well suited for the season. 101216
