Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle! Smooth and malty caramelly beginning. Very fresh and round, smooth with a nice subtle clove aroma. The body is smooth, very refreshing with malty caramelly hints and dry grain. Moderate bitter, dry and caramelly smooth aftertaste with yeasty clove. Nice.

Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is very grainy and bready. Taste is sweet grains, nearly sugary, slightly spicy, cereal. A bit yeasty. Creamy mouthfeel. I like Unertl Haag, but this is too sweet.

@ Zellerwand, Mettenham. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Banana, citrus and wheat. Sweet, light bitter finish, some tartness. Ok.

Pours brown from the bottle with a big, fluffy head that is soon gone. Cloudy. Looks like muddy water and I would call this surprisingly dark for a beer that is classified as a Weizen and not a dunkles Weizen. Aroma is weakly of sweet malt and yeasty with little in the way of the usual banana fruitiness. Taste follows in this direction - yeasty, nutty, with a rich undertone of caramel malts. Banana is there too, but it doesn’t jump out at you. Finish is dry, malty, lightly sour. Finishing the bottle left me wanting the next one, which is always a good sign. In sum a decent and creative dunkles Weizen, with the roasted and caramel notes playing the leading role. Good stuff.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Chyba najlepszy ciemne piwo pszeniczne jakie degustowałem. Piekna czapowata i sina piana, drobno pecherzykowa, bardzo trwala obfita i rosnaca, wystajaca sporo ponad szklo. Ciemno brazowe piw z krwistym odcieniem, mętne, bardzo mętne, strata przejrzystości kompletnie po wlaniu osadu. Do tego ladna stylowa butelka z orginalna porcelanka, a nie z plastikowym zamknieciem. W smaku biszkopty nasaczone rumem, herbatniki, trochę korzennych akcentow i kminek. Dobre, wytrawne mimo sporej slodowosci. Zapach wyczuwalne mokre drewno. Dla mnie klasyk. Polecam

Bottle from Bierbaboon. Dark caramel with a large frothy head. Aroma is caramel wheat. Flavour is smoky caramel, yeast and herb. Fruity dry finish.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours dark amber with a medium and persistent off-white head. Aroma of sulphur, sewer, malt, yeasts, terrible. Flavour is very sweet with a light bitter end. Medium body, light carbonation. Forget it...
